Tuesday most our group headed to Den Haag to the Mauritshuis Museum, to view its extensive collection of Vermeer paintings, and a surprise visit to the Escher Museum. Everyone returned having thoroughly enjoyed the outing!
Brian and I organized our day differently. In the afternoon, we made an unforgettable trip to Anne Frank’s house. Umbrellaed yet patiently waiting our turn with people literally from all around the world enhanced the experience. We chatted with a family from Australia while noting the young couple in front of us chose the brochure in Korean and the group behind us reached for Portuguese. We moved through the house together, a microcosm of all who are touched by the incredible heartfelt story of this young girl in the midst of horror and tragedy.
