Rijks and Van Gogh

Half our group headed to the Rijksmuseum Saturday afternoon, true art lovers ready to dive in to the city’s offerings. We all spent Sunday at the Van Gogh Museum. In spite of the press of crowds, the museum was an amazing collection of his work.

Monday morning, the light on the canal as the sun rose was breathtaking. The air itself carried the color, bathing each canal in melon-colored light. Marty and I walked for pastries and coffee, enjoying the glow of the city—and sensing rain would follow later in the day, which it did.
